Can anyone be this guy’s hero? Taz was surrendered to us due to his caretaker passing away unexpectedly. Taz is a sweet 8 year old dachshund mix. He is a regulated diabetic and receives insulin twice a day. He will need checkups every 3-6 months. He will also need insulin and syringes purchased monthly. He has cataracts and is blind. Taz is very confused, but all and all is doing well considering. We would love to get this special needs boy in a home as quickly as possible. Introducing Theodore AKA Ted. Ted is a diabetic grumpy old man, estimated around 12 years old. He has a sassy personality and would do best in a home without children. We would like to introduce you to Theo! Theo is a five month old Rottweiler. He is sweet, cute and playful! We know Theo is going to be very popular, but we are going to be extremely picky about his forever home. We will be taking applications and reviewing them BEFORE any meet and greets. We want to ensure the adopter has experience with the Rottweiler breed, understands the importance of socialization and training, and has the time to dedicate to all of this. We would like Theo to have a house with a yard, preferably fenced. Theo does like other dogs. He does have the Rottie rumble when playing and likes to dominate. He will need another dog to understand this and teach him the correct way to play without hurting him. When he was introduced to the house cats he acted afraid of them and walked WAY around them. He is a puppy so he will need continued training on doing his business outside. He does for the most part keep his kennel clean though! He is a smart boy! Thor is a sweet boy looking for his forever home. Thor is estimated around two years old. He loves to play in the yard. He will jump up on you so he could knock small children down. Thor does not react to the other dogs in the shelter, but we would recommend a meet and greet with your dog. Thor does bark in his kennel and his bark is loud, he would not be good for someone in an apartment. He needs room to stretch his legs and a fence or country home would be ideal as he appears to chase cars. He knows sit for treats and has a fun personality.
