Bear Bear
Bear-Bear was seized from a property in Warren County in terrible condition. He appeared to be put in the back of the property and forgotten about. We did not know what breed he was when we arrived. He was extremely matted and covered in fleas, ticks, starving and had a skin infection. After having him shaved we were surprised to found out he is a schnauzer. He has been treated with medicated baths, antibiotics and anti-inflammatory meds. His hair is slowly coming back. Bear-Bear is 14 years old. He is independent and needs a patient adopter who will show him how to be a dog again. He does wear a belly band due to not being potty-trained and he does very well with this. He gets along with cats, and calm dogs. A quiet home with no small kids would be ideal. A fenced in yard, or someone who can take him out on a leash will be required as Bear-Bear does like to explore and does not listen too well when you call him back. Beau was adopted with his brother Bear and unfortunately they did not do well together in the same home. There was some jealousy between the two and unfortunately they ended up “getting into it.” It was decided it would be in the best interest of both of them if they live in separate homes. Please no negative comments. Our focus now is to get Beau into a home. He is a very sweet boy. Two years old. Please research his breed. Hi My name is Beauford. I am a Basset Hound/Beagle mix. I am a pretty low energy boy who would love a quiet home to lounge on the couch. Please do not judge me when you approach me through my kennel because I can react, but once outside I warm up very quickly. I can be picky about dogs so would need to meet yours before going home.
