THANK YOU

Our staff and volunteers want to send a HUGE thank you to everyone who has adopted a furry friend from us! Our adoption numbers have hit an all time high! We couldn’t have done it without those of you who have made the choice to change a life forever and give a shelter animal their much deserved forever home.

Adopted
Breezy

Meet Bridget & Breezy… our former “wedding crashers” who apparently decided the reception was great, but staying at the shelter long term was not part of the plan. Unfortunately, no one ever came to claim these girls, so now they’re officially searching for forever homes of their own. 💕
Bridget is a sweet girl who can be a little timid at first, but she warms up very quickly once she knows she’s safe. She absolutely loves attention, being near her people, and has a playful side that starts to shine once she settles in.
The girls came in together and we believe they may be sisters, but from our observations it seems Breezy tends to boss Bridget around a little too much. Because of that, we truly feel both girls would flourish in separate homes where they can build confidence and fully shine on their own.
They haven’t reacted to the dogs at our shelter, but as always, a meet and greet with your dog will be required. We were told they have a pretty high prey drive, so cats and chickens are likely a no-go for these girls.
They appear to be younger — possibly around 2 years old — and they’ll both be heading to the vet this week to be spayed, so we should get a better age estimate then. Breed-wise? Your guess is probably as good as ours. We’re thinking maybe Aussie, Border Collie, maybe a sprinkle of Lab… and a whole lot of sweetness and cuteness mixed in. 🐾
These girls love attention and want to be close to their people. Because of the way they ended up at the shelter, a fenced yard or another reliable way to keep them safely contained will be very important.
If you’re interested in giving Bridget or Breezy the forever home they deserve, please fill out a dog application from our website or stop by the shelter soon!

Bubba

Meet Bubba – the Ball of Passion 🧡
Bubba earned his nickname from his previous owners, who lovingly called him a “ball of passion.” It was a very difficult decision for them to rehome him, and it’s clear he was deeply loved. Now, this 6-year-old neutered orange boy is looking for a new family to share all that love with.
Bubba is a big guy with an even bigger heart. He loves attention and will happily soak up all the pets and affection you’re willing to give. True to his laid-back nature, Bubba enjoys spending his days lounging in cozy spots, napping the hours away like the king he is.
He’s also a great fit for a variety of homes—Bubba gets along well with other cats and doesn’t react to dogs, making him an easy addition to a multi-pet household.
Because Bubba loves his snacks just as much as he loves his people, he’ll need a family committed to helping him stay on his weight loss journey. Continuing his diet will be important to keep him healthy and feeling his best.
If you’re looking for a relaxed, affectionate companion with a whole lot of love to give, Bubba is ready to be your new best friend. 🐾

Bubba *BONDED WITH ABBIE*

Bubba & Abbie – A Love Story Looking for a New Beginning

This Christmas season changed everything for Bubba and Abbie. When their family went to pick up their dad for Christmas dinner, they were met with heartbreak—he had sadly passed away. In an instant, these two loyal companions lost the person they loved and trusted most.

Bubba and Abbie don’t understand where their human went… they only know they’re missing him. What they do know is love—and they are overflowing with it.

Bubba is a big, goofy, laid-back guy weighing in at a solid 97.6 pounds. He’s all heart, all smiles, and will absolutely need a patient human to help him shed those extra “holiday pounds.” He’s the kind of dog who makes you laugh just by being himself.

Abbie is a sweet senior pit mix who still has plenty of bounce in her step. She’s affectionate, happy, and lights up when she’s around people. Her age hasn’t slowed her down—she still enjoys moving, exploring, and soaking up every bit of attention she can get.

We were told Bubba and Abbie spent their lives traveling the country with their owner. They ride great in the car and are used to being true companions—side by side, through every mile and memory.

These two love bugs are missing their person deeply and would love nothing more than a soft place to land, a couch to share, and hearts willing to love them again.

If you’re interested in giving Bubba and Abbie the home they so desperately deserve, please fill out a dog adoption application for review.
Let’s help them find comfort, love, and a new family—together. ❤️
