Our staff and volunteers want to send a HUGE thank you to everyone who has adopted a furry friend from us! Our adoption numbers have hit an all time high! We couldn’t have done it without those of you who have made the choice to change a life forever and give a shelter animal their much deserved forever home.

Meet Dutch! 🐾
Just look at that face! Dutch is an approximately 7–8 month old Anatolian Shepherd mix (our best guess!) who is still very much a puppy. He’s growing into a big, handsome boy with an even bigger personality.
Dutch loves people and soaks up every bit of attention he can get. Whether it’s playtime in the yard or hanging out with his favorite humans, he’s happiest when he’s part of the action. One thing he doesn’t love? Bath time! We’ll let his future family work on convincing him that baths aren’t so bad.
Because Dutch is still young and learning his manners, we feel he’d do best in a home with older children. He’ll also need to meet any resident dogs before adoption to make sure they’re a good match, or he’d be happy being your one and only. He hasn’t been introduced to cats yet, so we don’t know how he’ll feel about feline friends.
Dutch will need a family that’s ready to continue his training, provide plenty of exercise, and help him grow into the incredible dog we know he’s going to be.

Say hello to Eden and Echo! These two little lab mix sisters are looking for a new home! They are estimated around ten weeks old. They are playful, happy puppies! They are a lot of fun, but a lot of work too! They will need potty trained, and love to chew on things like all puppies do! They will need to return to the shelter for booster vaccines, dewormer, and when age appropriate taken to the vet (in Indianola) for their spays and rabies vaccine. This is all included in their $250 adoption fee. They have received first rounds of dewormer and vaccines and would love to go home with you soon! Echo

This pretty girl is Echo. Echo is a 2-3 year old husky mix. She is so sweet and needs an adopter experienced with the husky breed. Even though she is a mix she read the husky handbook from front to back. She would do great with a fence because she loves to explore. Good on leash. She likes toys and running in the yard. She is a little scared of new things, and needs an adopter who has the time to spend with her and build her confidence. She is housebroken. She does not react to the dogs in the shelter. Eddie

This handsome boy is Eddie. Eddie is an estimated 2-3 year old heeler mix. Eddie is a friendly guy and absolutely loves to run in the yard and snow. So much so we have a hard time catching him sometimes to come back inside. 😀 Eddie likes to go on walks and has the most handsome, proud walk. He really is a neat dog with a fun personality. He has not reacted to our dogs but a meet and greet would be required. He does not react to the cats in the shelter. He keeps his kennel clean.
