Meet Eugene!

Have you ever wondered what would happen if a Great Pyrenees accidentally got shrunk in the wash? Meet Eugene.

Eugene looks like someone took a full-sized Great Pyrenees and put him on Basset Hound legs. The result is a fluffy, short-legged masterpiece that has everyone at the shelter completely obsessed.

The vet guessed Eugene is around 12 years old, but Eugene would like to file an official complaint regarding that estimate. While he may qualify for the senior discount, he still has plenty of pep in his step and isn’t ready to spend his days just yelling at clouds.

Now, let’s address the haircut.

Yes, Eugene is currently sporting what can only be described as a “work in progress.” When he arrived, someone had already started shaving him, and due to mats and his condition, we had to finish the job. The result is a hairstyle that is… memorable. Fortunately, hair grows back, and underneath the questionable grooming choices is one very handsome boy.

Eugene loves attention, loves people, and firmly believes every hand that comes within reach was put on this earth to pet him. He has quickly become a staff favorite with his sweet personality, goofy appearance, and endless charm.

His future family should be prepared to keep up with regular grooming once his luxurious coat grows back in. Think of it as maintaining a tiny polar bear with short legs.
