💗 Gemma Deserves Her Forever 💗

Six years ago, Gemma walked out of Kiya Koda with a family of her own. Now, at nine years old, she has found herself back with us through no fault of her own.

And this one tugs at our hearts a little harder.

Gemma is a 9-year-old Bulldog/Pit mix and truly one of the sweetest girls you could ever meet. She loves people—pretty much everyone she meets becomes her friend. She has so much love to give and is happiest when she can simply be near her people.

After spending six years in a home, coming back to shelter life is a big adjustment for a senior girl. Gemma didn’t do anything wrong. Sometimes circumstances change, and while we never want to see one of our former dogs come back through our doors, we’re grateful that she’s here with people who already know and love her while we search for the home she deserves.

Gemma does need to be the only animal in the home, but we promise—she has more than enough love and personality to fill a house all by herself. ❤️

At nine years old, we’re hoping Gemma doesn’t have to spend long waiting. She deserves a soft bed, a quiet place to land, someone to love on, and the security of knowing she’s finally home for good.

This little guy is George! George will be getting neutered this week and will be looking for his forever home. George is a jumping bean! He has a lot of energy. He was found as stray so we have no history on him. He is a youngster. 1-2 years old we would guess. He will need an active family or would be a great walking partner! He loves to be with his people. George is a 12 year old German Shorthair looking for a home where he can live out his senior years. He was used for breeding, and would love a place to just relax. He has quite a bit of energy for his age, and likes to be outside in the yard. He has not reacted to any of the dogs at the shelter, and ignored the cats. Ghost is a 2-3 year old pit mix looking for his forever home. Ghost is an independent, quiet boy who can be shy at first. He was neutered today and we did find out he is heartworm positive. He has completed his treatment. He will need a heartworm preventative every month for the rest of his life. He will need to be the only dog in his home and has never been around cats. Will need someone familiar with his breed and teenage or adult only home. He will be a very loyal companion for the person willing to give this boy a home! Gibby was found as a stray so little is known of his history. He is SO sweet, he loves to roll around and get belly rubs and make biscuits. Gibby will be fully vetted before adoption.

Meet little miss Gigi! This adorable 10 month old Miniature Schnauzer is sweet as can be and already winning hearts everywhere she goes. Gigi does well with other dogs and cats. She has never been around children, so we are unsure how she would do in a home with kids.
As with all Schnauzers, Gigi will need regular grooming to keep her coat healthy and looking her best, so her future home should be prepared for the time and expense that comes with maintaining her grooming needs.
