Somewhere along the way, a few of Gustav’s instruction manuals got misplaced… and honestly, we wouldn’t have him any other way.

This 1-year-old Shepherd mix is a lovable goofball who approaches life with unlimited enthusiasm and… questionable coordination.

Want to play with another dog? Absolutely! Does he know how to play with another dog? Well… he’s still workshopping that part.

Cats? Turns out they were the scary ones.

Running? Oh, that’s an event. Before taking off, Gustav performs his signature little “wind-up” like he’s preparing for liftoff. Once the engines are engaged, there is no stopping him.

He loves everyone. Truly. Whether you want to be his friend or not is merely a suggestion in Gustav’s mind. Personal space? Never heard of it. He can be a little mouthy in that goofy puppy way, but we’ve never seen any aggression—just a young dog trying to figure out this whole “being a dog” thing.

Gustav is quirky, awkward, hilarious, and impossible not to love. He just needs someone willing to show him that the world isn’t so scary and that it’s okay if life doesn’t always make sense… because it certainly doesn’t to Gustav.
