🐾 Meet Duke — He’s Ready for His Next Chapter ❤️

Five-year-old Duke recently came to us after some changes in his owner’s circumstances made it difficult for them to continue caring for him. Sometimes life takes an unexpected turn, and Duke is now hoping someone will give him the fresh start he deserves.

Duke is a great dog. He gets along with both dogs and cats, knows how to sit like the good boy he is, and treats are definitely the way to his heart! He can be a little shy when meeting someone new, but give him a little time and he bonds quickly.

More than anything, Duke seems like a dog who really wants his person. Someone to hang out with, follow around, and simply do life with. He would make a wonderful companion for someone who enjoys having their dog close by.

Duke would not be a good fit for an apartment, as we were told he can be vocal when left alone. He’d be happiest in a home where someone is around more often than not.

At five years old, Duke is past the crazy puppy stage but still has plenty of life, love, and adventures ahead of him. ❤️
