Meet Johnny, a 5-year-old Beagle whose current life goal is pretty simple:
Find a human. Become their shadow. Eat their treats. Live happily ever after.
Johnny came to us as a stray, so we don’t know much about his previous life. What we have learned is that Johnny is a people guy. He LOVES attention and would happily spend his days following you around, supervising your every move and making sure you never accidentally eat a snack without sharing.
His ideal person is someone who is home more often than not because Johnny has some opinions about being left behind.
And he shares them.
Loudly.
He’s a Beagle. 
He WILL eventually quiet down, but your apartment neighbors may have already started a group chat by then. So no apartments for Johnny.
Johnny does have one small request: he would prefer that all four feet remain on the ground. He can be picked up, but you need to go slowly and give him a minute to understand what you’re doing. If Johnny had a vote, he’d probably just say, “Thanks, but I can walk.”

He gets along with other dogs. We’re unsure about cats, but if you have one, we can bring Johnny inside and see what his official opinion is.
Johnny is sweet, funny, treat-motivated and desperately wants someone to call his own. 
Unfortunately, he is NOT enjoying kennel life. This boy wants to be beside a person, not sitting in a kennel waiting for one.
