MEET RIVER! Oh River. What a difference a little time, some patience and realizing nobody here is going to leave you at the river can make. 
River is about 8 months old and was safely trapped at Middle River after it appeared he had been dumped there.
He can be a little shy when meeting new people, but don’t let that fool you. Give this boy a couple of seconds to decide you’re okay and suddenly you have a new best friend.
And we mean BEST friend.
River has some anxiety and likes to stay close to his people.
Very close.
Personal space? Never heard of her. 
Going to the bathroom alone? River would like to review that policy.
Sitting on the couch? Scoot over.
Walking to another room? Great! River was going there too.
After what he’s been through, we can’t really blame him. This sweet boy just wants to know his person isn’t going anywhere.
River has reacted to some of our dogs, so a meet and greet will be required with any dogs in the home. He did not react to our shelter cats while on leash.
He’s young, sweet, affectionate and ready to find the person who will show him that being someone’s dog means you never have to worry about being left behind again.
And there is just ONE important question remaining…
